This project was a continuation of a long-standing relationship. The homeowners first worked with Atlantic RIDGE in 2016, completing Phase 1 of their outdoor space. In 2021, they returned to finish the vision with a pool and water feature. Their priorities were clear: privacy, timeless design, and continuity. They placed full trust in Atlantic RIDGE to make decisions that would preserve the original aesthetic and enhance their sense of seclusion.
This was not a one-time transaction. It was a years-long collaboration built on consistency, reliability, and mutual respect.
The Dream
The homeowners wanted a private oasis where they could enjoy their property without feeling confined. They asked for a space that would block neighboring views while still feeling open and elegant. They did not want a boxed-in backyard. They wanted intentional placement, graceful transitions, and a sense of calm.
The Plan
Atlantic RIDGE developed a layered design that expanded on the original work without disrupting it.
Added a new pool and elevated waterfall as the focal point
Created privacy islands in strategic corners of the one-acre lot

Blended new construction into the existing hardscape for seamless continuity

The Hurdles
Time introduces complexity. With five years between phases, product lines change, colors fade, and textures evolve. The team had to source exact or near-perfect matches to keep the aesthetic unified.
Matched all key materials despite manufacturing and weathering changes
Balanced privacy with openness by creating strategically placed plant islands rather than walls or fencing
Protected the visual integrity of Phase 1 while enhancing it with the upgrades of Phase 2
The Reveal
The finished space offers a serene, high-end outdoor environment that feels like a single vision rather than two separate efforts. The pool and waterfall blend naturally into the landscape, and the privacy elements allow the homeowners to fully disconnect and unwind.
Once in the pool, the clients are surrounded by tranquility. Seclusion without severity. Style without showiness.
